The Culture Nuri Card
The Culture Nuri Card supports cultural, travel and sporting activity.
What it is
A card providing support for culture, arts, travel and sports to basic livelihood recipients and the near-poor.

Steps
- Check the issuance application period — usually starting early in the year.
- Apply at your community service centre or online at www.mnuri.kr.
- Receive the card, or have your existing card topped up. If you already have one, only a top-up is needed.
- Use it within the usage period. Any balance is lost once it expires.

Questions people ask
Can foreigners receive it? Since eligibility rests on things like benefit status, it depends on your residence status and circumstances. Check your own case at the community centre.
Where can I use it? At registered merchants. You can search for nearby outlets on the website or app.
I didn't use it all in time. Any balance is cancelled when the usage period ends. Plan your spending in advance.
I received it last year — do I get it again? It may not be automatic. Check whether an application or top-up is needed each year.
Take care
If everyone rushes just before the deadline, you may not get to use it where you want. Once you receive the card, plan how to spend it right away — with children, splitting it between books and performances works well.
