Reporting a change of address

Batay sa Agosto 2026Awtomatikong salinPinagmulan: 법무부 하이코리아0 tingin

After you move, you must report your new address. Failing to do so brings a fine, and you may miss important mail such as immigration notices.

Who needs this

  • Everyone registered as a foreign resident whose address changed
  • Including a change of unit number within the same building

Steps

  1. Move to the new address.
  2. Report the move-in at the community centre. In many areas the change of residence for immigration is handled at the same time.
  3. If not, report separately at your immigration office.
  4. Check that the new address is printed on the back of your card.

What you need

  • Alien Registration Card, passport
  • A document showing the new address (lease contract)
  • The reporting deadline — check on HiKorea

Where to go

  • The community centre for your new address
  • Your immigration office
  • 1345 Immigration Contact Center

Questions people ask

What if I miss the deadline? A fine may apply. Even if late, report as soon as you can.

My landlord won't give me a contract. Ask 1345 whether another proof of residence is accepted.

Take care

Registering an address where you do not actually live is illegal. Report where you really live.
