Call 119 immediately if you are losing consciousness, bleeding heavily, may have broken a bone, or are struggling to breathe. 119 transport is free.

What you must say at the hospital

"I was injured at work. Please process this as an industrial accident."

Saying this is the single most important thing. Having "injured at work" in the first medical record becomes decisive evidence later. Changing it afterwards is far harder.

You can be treated without money

• In an emergency, a hospital cannot refuse treatment over cost.
• There is an emergency medical cost advance scheme — ask the administration office.
• Once recognised as an industrial accident, treatment is covered by the insurance.

Your visa status does not matter

Even if you are undocumented, you have the right to industrial accident compensation. Anyone injured at work is protected regardless of status. If worried, consult 1577-0071 or a migrant organisation first.

Documents to obtain

• Medical certificate — with the diagnosis and treatment period.
• Receipts and medical records — keep every one.
• The first consultation record — the most important of all.
