Questions people ask
Is there English support? Some English guidance exists but most is Korean. Visiting a tax office or getting help from your company's staff is the sure route.
Identity verification fails. The phone may not be in your name or the details differ. Check with your carrier or visit a tax office in person. See phone-verification.
No income record appears. Your company may not have declared your income. Check with 126 and 1350. This can be a serious problem.
Why register cash receipts? Your spending is recorded and can count toward year-end deductions. Registering your phone number when buying builds it up automatically.
Take care
Beware texts and emails impersonating Hometax. Messages saying "you have a refund, click this link" are scams. Always type www.hometax.go.kr into the address bar yourself. See voice-phishing.
