Worth preparing beforehand
- Write down what happened and when, in order.
- Have photos of your contract, payslips and bank records.
- Keep text and KakaoTalk records — don't delete them.
- Decide what you want — back pay, reinstatement, a workplace change.

Questions people ask
I don't know which one to call first. 1350 for wages, conditions and accidents, 1345 for residence status, 1577-1366 for everyday matters and interpretation. Even if you call the wrong one, they will point you on.
Are they open at night or weekends? Hours differ by organisation. 1345 and 1577-1366 operate 24 hours.
Will my company be told what I said? Not without your consent. If it worries you, say so at the start of the consultation.
Can I get advice without residence status? Yes. Wages are your right regardless of status. Be honest about your situation and work out the options together.
Take care
Don't go to private brokers who ask for money. Every service above is free. Brokers do not solve the problem, and they put your residence status at risk as well.
