- Dial 1345 (no area code needed within Korea).
- Select your language — 20 are supported.
- You are connected to an adviser.
- Describe your situation specifically — your status, expiry date, and what has happened.
How to frame the question
- Start with "My status is ○○ and it expires on ○ month ○ day."
- "In this situation, what procedure should I follow?"
- "Please tell me which documents I need."
- "What is the deadline?" — always ask about deadlines and write them down.

What are the opening hours? Weekday daytime as standard. For 24-hour advice, use 1577-1366.
My status is precarious — can I still call? It is an advice line. Describe your situation and they can explain what is possible. If you are worried, you can consult 1577-1366 or a migrant support organisation first.
I couldn't follow the answer. Ask again. Request that they speak slowly, and write down the important points — deadlines and document names especially.

1345's answer is more accurate than any broker's. Brokers say "it can be done" to take your money, but if the requirements aren't met you are the one who loses. Ask 1345 first and decide on the basis of that answer.
