Reporting a change of address
After you move, you must report your new address. Failing to do so brings a fine, and you may miss important mail such as immigration notices.
Who needs this
- Everyone registered as a foreign resident whose address changed
- Including a change of unit number within the same building
Steps
- Move to the new address.
- Report the move-in at the community centre. In many areas the change of residence for immigration is handled at the same time.
- If not, report separately at your immigration office.
- Check that the new address is printed on the back of your card.
What you need
- Alien Registration Card, passport
- A document showing the new address (lease contract)
- The reporting deadline — check on HiKorea
