If your child goes missing
If you cannot see your child, call 112 immediately. "Let me look a little longer" is dangerous.
Right now
- Call 112. There is no waiting period for a missing person report. Report at once.
- Say where and when you last saw them.
- Describe your child — today's clothes, height, hairstyle, distinguishing features. Have a recent photo ready.
- Search the area at the same time. Split up rather than searching alone.
- Ask for CCTV checks — apartment office, shops, buses and subway.
- Report to Safe Dream (182) as well — specialist missing children support.
- One person stays at home so the child can return.
Worth preparing in advance
- Save a recent photo on your phone (update every three months)
- Note your child's height, weight and features
- Pre-registration of fingerprints — free at a police station or Safe Dream
- Teach your child their name and your phone number
- Put contact details on their clothes or bag
