• One bag — ID, medication, phone charger, kept somewhere out of sight.
• One person you trust who knows what is happening.

Avoid the kitchen and bathroom

When an argument starts, avoid the kitchen with knives, a bathroom that locks, and stairs. Move to a room with a door.
