Registering family as dependants
Workplace subscribers can register family members as dependants. Dependants receive cover without paying a separate premium.
Who this covers
- The spouse, children and parents of a workplace subscriber
- They must meet income and asset conditions
- They must be staying in Korea with alien registration
Steps
- Check the conditions. Ask 1577-1000 about your family's situation.
- Apply through your company (or the Service). Workplace subscribers usually apply via the company contact.
- Submit proof of family relationship. Documents from your country may need translation and notarisation.
- Confirm the registration.
- If a family member takes a job, their status changes. Sort it out then.
